Molinari/Westwood set the pace in Shanghai
Lee Westwood became world number one earlier this week, ending Tiger Woods' reign as the game's top-ranked player
New world number one Lee Westwood is one shot behind leader Francesco Molinari after the first day of the HSBC Champions Challenge in Shanghai, China.
Italian Molinari carded an opening round seven-under-par to lead the field, with Westwood one shot back and Tiger Woods, who saw his 281-week run at the top of the rankings ended by the Briton, still in the hunt on four-under-par.
Japan's Yuta Ikeda, Henrik Stenson of Sweden and South Korean Seung-yul Noh are all tied for third position, two shots behind Molinari.
