WHEN a Chief Superintendent of Customs, Mr. Ekanem Wills John, stopped at a shop in Apapa area of Lagos State to buy some provisions to take home on Saturday, 23 October 2010, nothing gave him an inkling that he would soon be on his way into the bush for three nights in the hands of kidnappers. Before he knew what was happening, he was surrounded by fierce looking men, about six in number, all of who poked guns into his side and rudely shoved him into the car.
