9ice Pasuma rock @ Ojude Oba

 9ice
More than 10 thousand youths within Ijebu Ode and even those from outside the city converged on the newly constructed Ojude Oba pavilion hours after the Ojude Oba festival had ended to enjoy the stock of fun packaged specially for them by Globacom.
With an exciting cast of Wande Coal, 9ice, Pasuma, Gbenga Adeyinka, Lepacious Bose and others, the youths knew there was something worth the while for them to wait for as the show was billed to start at 9pm.
With good music blaring from DJ TOP, the youths had their appetite whetted for the night. Many of them danced to the good collection of Naija music from the DJ until Gbenga Adeyinka mounted the stage to open the show.
The youths were so eager for the stars who had been advertised by Globacom for the show and after Gbenga Adeyinka had taken then on a laughter trip, Mo Hits sensation, Wande Coal took the floor. For over one hour, Wande Coal dished out the good stuff to the admiration of the crowd.
Those who could create space outside the arena quickly converted such space to dance floor and dance their hearts out. Others within the venue managed to wriggle their bodies to the melody from the speakers. Eventually, Wande Coal stole an exit as the crowd would not let him go willingly.
Lepacious Bose and Baba Gboin also cracked many ribs with jokes before 9ice mounted the stage after midnight. 9ice thrilled the audience, which sang along many of his hit tracks.
The entry of Pasuma around 3am showed that the crowd was not in any way tired as the Fuji crooner literary recharged them for what was to come their way. They danced away till after 5am when the show eventually ended.
The Future Awards unveils nominees
Organisers of The Future Awards (TFA) have  announced that the much-anticipated nominees list will be unveiled on Monday, December 5 even as voting begins immediately after then.
As the commitee begin  work on assessment, pre-screening and verification of claims of the thousands of nominations received, the sixth edition of Nigeria’s most influential youth event is yet to get a date.
“It’s incredible to see the amount of work that young people are doing, especially in those sectors where we could hardly find new nominees just a few years ago,” the awards’ External Relations director, Debie Magnut, said.
The almost 200 nominees will be celebrated at a Media & VIP nominees reception. The reception this year holds on 19 December at Lagos’s Ember Creek, Ikoyi – and is by invitation only.
“The reception is an exclusive opportunity for the nominees to be celebrated, to network and to be officially presented to the public: symbolically represented by the certificates,” said Magnut. “Many of the nominations are primarily done online and a great majority of these nominees are not celebrities or not; we are always excited to unveil them to the public at this occasion.
These are the New Establishment; the new leaders of Nigeria in the very, very near future.
