A Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial aspirant in Plateau State, Mr. Damishi Sango, has dismissed insinuations that the crisis in the state chapter of the party will affect its electoral chances in the 2011 general elections.
Sango told our correspondent in an interview in Jos, on Thursday, that the crisis would rather make the party stronger as each of the aspirants was conscious of their chances and would not do anything to jeopardise the future of the party in the state.
“The crisis will not affect the fortunes of the party as the will of the people will prevail and the rule of law will have its way. The crisis will be resolved positively by the grace of God. We will have a new PDP in which everyone is carried along and the party will win in the forthcoming elections. It is just a matter of time,” he said.
