The Super Falcons are $1,500 richer courtesy of TomTom, the Official Candy of the Nigeria national teams.
The reward came after the team beat their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea to lift the trophy in the African Women‘s Championship in South Africa on Sunday.
Through the shots on target, the Falcons earned $300 per every shot during the tournament and went home with a total of $12,600 after five matches. They had pocketed the sum of $9,000 in the three group phase games.
Veteran striker Perpetua Nkwocha also finished as the tournament‘s top scorer with 11 goals.
