ACN will transform Nigeria – Ribadu

Former Chairman of the EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu
The Presidential candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has said his party will transform Nigeria if giving the mandate in the April general elections.

Ribadu, who spoke in Abuja on Thursday at the public presentation of a book, titled ‘’The Peoples’ President,” which chronicles Edo State Governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole’s eight years leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress said only the ACN could lead the country out of its present predicament.

Ribadu commended the role by the former NLC President.

He said the governor had also shown that he had good leadership qualities with the way he was handling the affairs of his state.

He said, “Adams turned out to be the best president NLC had. He talked and people listened. We have seen what is happening in Edo state, we have seen the change in Lagos and Ekiti states.

“He is going to lead what we want to do in Abuja – that is, bringing good government to Abuja. He did that for Edo state, he will do that in Abuja.”

He called on Nigerian leaders to show more honesty, fairness and sincerity in what they do and also, look beyond helping just their families.

Others, who spoke on the antecedents of the former NLC president, commended both his past and present achievements. The book was written by Alhaji Abdullahi Gulloma and reviewed by a Lagos based lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, the former president of the West African Bar Association.

Also speaking, Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, described the event as a merit to Oshiomole.

He, however, called on the leadership of the NLC to continue to work with the media and the civil societies towards achieving credible elections in April.

Oshiomole, who said he was grateful to those that were at the occasion, especially the chairman of the event and a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar(retd.), said that leaders must use their power consciously, as they would be accountable for it someday.
