Women in Management & Business tasked to impact their world

At the just concluded 2010 Annual conference of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ) held in Lagos, participants from all walks of life have tasked women during the forum not to relent in their effort to making impacts in the society.
Women in Management and Business is a non-profit organisation with an overriding mission to be the catelyst that elevates the profile of women in management and business and the Nigerian hub of the African Businesswomen’s Network (ABWM); the continental umbrella organisation for business women.
Contributing to the event is an American Civil Rights Activist and Baptist Minister, Rev. Jesse Jackson who started by charging participants to continue in their endeavours, stating that  it is possible for a woman to become Nigeria’s President.
In addition, Chairman Silverbird Group, Ben Murray Bruce, without mincing words, challenged the delegates of the conference to make an impact in their immediate environment, even though there are fundamental problems that require steps to be taken to solve.
In addition, he shared his life story with the participants from his experience in the Civil War to starting his career in entertainment and in between, taking time to highlight the individuals like Obafemi Awolowo, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and James Brown who have influenced his life and career.
