The accused, a resident of 7, Ode Ajada, Agbaji area of Ilorin, was arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrate‘s Court presided over by Mr. Abdullahi Bello.
Isah pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of theft, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N10,000 with two sureties in like sum.
According to the Police First Information Report, a complainant, Kehinde Ibrahim, of Olorunsogo, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, reported the case to the police on October 17.
The report alleged that the accused came to the complainant‘s shop to steal the generator worth N18,000.
It also claimed that the stolen generator was later recovered from the accused, while police preliminary investigation confirmed the allegation.
