Bomb scare in Jos, Bukuru




There was panic on Wednesday in Jos, the Plateau State capital and also in Bukuru metropolis following rumours that bombs had been planted in the courts in the two towns. The rumour went with a warning that people should avoid the courts in the two cities.

The rumour came few days after the police arrested a man suspected to have sponsored last week’s attack in the village of Rahinku in Bassa Local Government area where six persons lost their lives.

The suspect, Alhaji Shashaka, was said to be a resident of Barakin Ladi and was undergoing interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department
