Onigbogi, PDP chieftain, declares support for Aregbesola

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi, has declared his support for the state governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, with a call on the governor to jettison witchunting and channel all his energy towards improving the lives of the people of the state.

In a statement made available to our correspondent in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday by his Media Adviser, Mr. Kunle Olatunji, Onigbogi who was a governorship aspirant of the PDP before the verdict of the Court of Appeal, Ibadan that declared Aregbesola as the state governor, said he wished the governor success in his administration.

While reiterating his commitment to the ideals and principles of the PDP, Onigbogi said that he believed in divine intervention and the fact that power belongs to God which He grants to whoever He so desires.

He also thanked the Ijesa PDP Elders’ Caucus led by a former Minister of Transport, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, for its commitment to the principle of Ijesa Agenda which he said eventually came into reality by Aregbesola’s emergence as the first governor from Ijesaland since the creation of the state.

He urged Aregbesola to settle down to work and map out programmes to develop the state without further delay.
