Karabukspor of Turkey striker Emmanuel Emenike has committed his international future to Nigeria after a meeting with Nigeria coach Samson Siasia in the Eastern European country.
Emenike had claimed he was approached by the Turkish Football Federation to play for the Crescent Stars and that he was interested because of shoddy treatment meted out to him by the Nigeria Football Federation early in his career.
However, reports said on Monday that Siasia was able to convince the 23-year-old to play for the Super Eagles after talks with him and Fenerbahce‘s Joseph Yobo in Turkey on Saturday.
”Emenike was very excited when he was told that Siasia was coming to Turkey to find out about his international commitment,” a source told KickOffNigeria.com.
