Fashola, Okoya-Thomas bag awards

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, philanthropist Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas and Chief Pius Akinyelure were on Wednesday honoured with the Sports Excellence Award for their contributions to sports development in the state.The awards ceremony took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on the occasion of the unveiling of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu U-14 Football Tournament trophy.The awards were given by the organisers of the BAT tourney, Double Accord Resource in partnership with Zenith Sports.According to the organisers, the trophy will be contested by schools and academies in all the LGAs and LCDAs in the state in recognition of Tinubu‘s contributions to the development of the stateChairman of the occasion, Akinyelure pledged that Lagos State and Tinubu would give their support to the grassroots tourney
