Army seeks cordial relationship with civilians

The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information, Col. Rabe Abubakar, said the Army was set to ensure cordial relationship with civilians.

Abubakar said this in Lagos on Wednesday when he led a team of 35 students of the 4th Batch Course of the school to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.

He explained that the NASPRI would ensure cordial relationship between soldiers and civilians through the production of professional Public Relations experts.

“The current trend is for the army to focus on civil-military relations which has given rise to the setting up of NASPRI,’’ he said.

Abubakar said information management was foremost in military operations, hence the need to train the officers and men in information management.

He commended the NAN management for the technological improvement and innovation in the agency’s multi-media products.

He expressed gratitude to the agency for its support to the Nigerian Army.

The NASPRI commandant also condoled with NAN on the death of one of its Deputy Editors-In-Chief, Mr. Christopher Edun.
