With this move, Akande becomes the second aspirant to pick the party’s presidential nomination form after Gov. Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State.
Akande, in his emissary message delivered by the Director of Admnistration and Secretary of Harry Akande Presidential Campaign Organisation, Alhaji Bisi Lawal, expressed delight in the laudable achievements of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu-led National Working Committee of the party since assumption of office.
According to him, Onu’s emergence as the national chairman of ANPP has fufilled his dream of true leadership for the party, as well as positioned the party to provide the nation a responsible and responsive leadership.
The former national chairmanship aspirant said he has strong faith in ANPP as a party and believed that the salvation of Nigerians from the stronghold of ruling PDP is the responsibility of the party.
